ABOUT ENGLISH LANGUAGE HERITAGE HOLIDAYS

English Language Heritage Holidays provides quality educational holiday experiences. Students are immersed in an English-speaking environment living with an English family and going on fun excursions to heritage sites throughout the south of England. We have been hosting and teaching students for years in England, France and Spain and have found that students learn as much doing fun English-based activities and trips to interesting sites as they do in a classroom environment. We give them the best of both worlds.

We are based in historic Bath with many important heritage sites on our doorstep. The whole of Bath is designated a world heritage site and the surrounding counties hold some of England's most captivating and important destinations. Our friendly staff hold degrees, Cambridge certified CELTA English Language Teaching certificates, years of experience teaching students and advanced police clearance.

We teach everyday English through reading, writing, listening, playing, acting, a bit of grammar and a lot of speaking. This focus on speaking practice gives them confidence with and a love of the language. This is often done with relevant games to keep the students engaged with the lesson.
Our Philosophy

We believe that students learn better when they are enjoying themselves as the mind is relaxed, alert and open. So we include many fun games, activities and excursions in the programme to give a broad and deep enjoyable immersion experience. We believe in nurturing the minds of the students to see the language as an opportunity to interact with the world in a positive way. We aim to bring out the best in the students through student-centred activities and an interest in what we can learn from experiencing important heritage sites.
Cultural Exchange

Part of the English Language Holiday experience is a sharing of culture. We teach language that opens the minds of children from around the world to a rich cultural experience, seeing the best of English heritage. We focus on themes that encourage independence and enthusiasm for learning about and respecting the world's diversity. The children benefit from an openness to these intercultural exchanges that educates them to be caretakers of tomorrow. We encourage students to share elements of their own culture as well as experiencing the best of English culture.
