The Roman Baths
Bath City

The whole city is a World Heritage Site due to its architecture and history. Bath also has museums, art galleries, parks, botanic gardens, Roman Baths and many other things to do. Famous writers such as Charles Dickens, Jane Austin, Mary Shelley and Haile Selassie lived here.

 

 

Glastonbury
​
A spiritual mecca for Christians, Pagans and New Agers alike. The location of Glastonbury Tor, Chalice Well Gardens, the White Spring, the St. Joseph of Arimathea Thorn, Glastonbury Abbey with the grave of King Arthur and some interesting shops. Members of the family of Jesus used to visit here, and some say Jesus himself.

Longleat Safari Park

Longleat Safari and Adventure Park, in Wiltshire, was opened in 1966 as the first drive-through safari park outside Africa. The park is situated in the grounds of Longleat House, an English stately home which is open to the public. It is home to over 500 animals including lions, giraffes, monkeys, zebras, lemurs, tigers, cheetahs, deer, rhinos, camels, antelope, penguins and an elephant.

 

 

Avebury
​
The largest stone circle in Britain contains two other stone circles and is a beautiful walk. It originally had at least 154 standing stones. Avebury was used as a temple by the ancient Celtic Druids.

This arboretum has 2,500 types of trees and over 15,000 in total. It has 17 miles of walks through ancient forest, a treetop walkway and various activities.

 

 

Stonehenge

 

Stonehenge is the most famous stone circle in the world. It is an ancient Celtic sacred site and also a calendar and astronomical observatory. Stonehenge has huge stones that present a mystery as to how they were moved.
